244 years ago, we said, "No more kings!"
Our Declaration of Independence from the monarchy of England was penned and signed 244 years ago by our founding fathers, yet today, as we celebrate our freedoms, we bemoan the fact that our freedoms have been violated throughout reactions to this COVID-19 pandemic. Executive branch officials have controlled us by issuing mandates and orders to put us under house arrest, to violate our right to peaceably assemble for worship, to seize our businesses without a warrant and due process and just compensation, to force us to wear masks against our will out of fear and in spite of concerns for our health...
We find ourselves submitting to unconstitutional executive orders, and in doing so, we have allowed despots to violate the separation of powers stipulated in our Constitution. We have allowed our rights to be trampled upon. We have unwittingly put ourselves back under rulers and authorities who have NO authority over us! NO MORE KINGS!
WE WERE BORN FREE! Yet we behave as slaves and victims by submitting to these unconstitutional orders! We cannot sit back and wait for someone to rescue us! Peaceful noncompliance is NOT breaking the law! We are law-abiding citizens with a duty to ENFORCE the Constitution when the authority we delegate to our officials is violated and misused. An unconstitutional order or mandate made by an executive (not a legislator) is NO LAW AT ALL! We cannot be imprisoned for civil disobedience!

Tomorrow, when you go out into public, will you allow yourself to be enslaved again? Will you submit to the unconstitutional orders issued by your governor or health department to wear a mask? On Monday morning, will you submit to the restrictions upon your business that violate your NATURAL RIGHT to acquire, possess and protect your property? Businesses are NOT built upon a model of 25% occupancy to succeed! We have to stop living in fear and stand up for our rights! When they shut down your business, they are taking your property! Stand up and defend your rights, Citizen! You are NOT a slave!

Most of us have not studied the Constitution since we were in high school, and if you are like me, that was more than 3o years ago! I can't even remember something that I read a week ago sometimes, so why do I think that I can remember our Constitution? "We have become pacified in prosperity, lazy in luxury, and complacent in our compliance." (Source: KrisAnne Hall, JD). We as law-abiding citizens are hesitant to ENFORCE the law, but WE MUST! It is our DUTY as citizens! Without standing up and enforcing the Constitution, we will fall into tyranny! And, we have indeed already fallen! It will be an uphill battle to regain the liberties we have lost, but together we can stand! We owe it to our founding fathers who shed their blood to secure our freedoms, and we owe it to our posterity.
